1. Purpose of Collecting Personal Information

HelloREC collects and processes personal information for the following purposes and does not use it for any other purposes.

• User identification and login service provision
• Service usage record management
• Restricting malicious users and statistics on service usage

2. Categories of Personal Information Collected

HelloREC collects the following personal information to provide services:

• When logging in with Google: Name, email address, profile image
• Automatically collected items: IP address, browser information, access logs

Recorded videos or captured images are not stored on the server and are only saved on the user's local device.

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

HelloREC retains personal information only while members are using the service, and immediately destroys it when members withdraw. However, the following information is retained for the periods specified below:

• IP address, access logs: 3 months (in accordance with the Communications Privacy Protection Act)
• Information on malicious users: 1 year (to restrict service usage)

4. Procedures and Methods for Destroying Personal Information

HelloREC destroys the relevant personal information without delay when the retention period expires or the purpose of processing has been fulfilled. The procedures and methods for destruction are as follows:

• Destruction procedure: Unnecessary personal information is destroyed with the approval of the personal information protection officer.
• Destruction method: Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that cannot reproduce the records.

5. Provision and Outsourcing of Personal Information

HelloREC processes users' personal information only within the scope specified in this privacy policy and does not provide it to third parties. However, the following cases are exceptions:

• When the user has given prior consent
• When required by law or when there is a request from an investigative agency for investigation purposes according to procedures and methods prescribed by law

6. Users' Rights and How to Exercise Them

Users can view or modify their personal information at any time, and can also request service termination (member withdrawal). Viewing, modifying, and withdrawing personal information can be done through the settings menu after logging in.

7. Personal Information Protection Officer

HelloREC designates a personal information protection officer as follows to handle all matters related to the processing of personal information and to handle user complaints and remedies related to personal information processing.
